What Do You Do To Cope With Anti-American Hatred ? . . . I think 'America' Had The Answer?

On the first part of the journey , I was lookin at all the life

There were plants and birds and rocks and things

there was sand and hills and rings

The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz , and the sky with no clouds

The heat was hot and the ground was dry , but the air was filled with sound

I've been through the desert on a horse with no name , it felt good to be out of the rain

In the desert , you can't remember your name , cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain . . . La la la lalala lalala la la

After 2 days in the desert sun , my skin began to turn red

After 3 days in the desert fun , I was lookin at a river bed

And the story it told of a river that flowed. .. made me sad , to think it was dead

Refrain. .. You see I've been through the desert etc. . . .

After 9 days I let the horse run free , cause the desert had turned to the sea

There were plants and birds and rocks and things , there was sand and hills and rings

(1 minute please to finish)

What Do You Do To Cope With Anti-American Hatred ? . . . I think 'America' Had The Answer?
The pain of the 'hatred of America' or the hatred found in one's every day life can find solace in the verses of song. Crawl inside the words and let your mind go with the words.

The interpretation is as diverse as the human mind.

We can be where it doesn't matter if the" horse has no name, or if we can't remember our name", it just feels good to be "out of the rain."
Reply:I just ignore it.
Reply:Being a leader is hard. Even to those that admire you, you must endure criticism and comments that undermine you, curse you, even sometimes hate you, sometimes from "friendlies", always from foes. It is part of being a leader.
Reply:Well that kinda happens when a rouge President invades your country killing half a million of your fellow men, women and children.

and I don't think any song is going to fix that.
Reply:True leadership will, at times, bring enemies.
Reply:I just take pleasure in irritating the hell out of trolls like Sidney Vicious.:)

BTW, you do know that "A Horse with No Name" is about heroin, right?:)
Reply:**First of all, you could've capitalized the "B" in `buzz. You know, a little shout-out!**lol

Boss, we are in a very different world. My skin, turned red, with all of this ill-will that is being shown. And it is like a dessert with nothing but heat of anger. Parenting? God? or a Little of both? I'm sure The Rock-n-Roll Reverend, will have more to say on that. "Film @ Eleven"
Reply:Yer making me feel old with that song ! I was a stupid liberal teenager with more hair than brains when it came out !

I have no hair now................

Be Blessed in Christ Jesus !

Reply:So what is this? A hippie song to deal with Nationalists.

Anti-American hatred. Which kind?

1- Americans bashing Americans who dress differently or do noty hold nationalistic, reactive views.

2-Foreigners agahst at Bush';s policies for real?

I grew up in America.Know all about hatefullness from other Americans. All of them were self-desribed conservatives

"I" have the right to be "Outraged". Ahem.
Reply:I just chalk it up as typical liberal gibberish and ignore their rhetoric. Eventually, it will come around and bite them in the butt.
Reply:I think of this song: What the world needs now is love, sweet love. It's the only thing that there's just too little of.........

Sometimes I sing it sarcastically,(to myself or anyone nearby) just to make myself laugh ;)
Reply:I just remind myself that it says more about the hater than it does about America.
Reply:I don't care what people think, so I just ignore them.
Reply:I just accept the fact that "with hate there is hope". The only opposite to love is indifference!

So as long as somebody cares what I'm doing, they must love me, lol.
Reply:I jsut tell them if you go carrying pictures of chairman mao you aint gonna make it with any one anyhow!... fi you want money for people with minds thathate, all I can tell you brother is you have to wait....

then i usually give them the one finger slaute
Reply:I just consider the source and roll with the punches. In an evil world you should expect people to hate you for doing good. I'd be worried if everyone was telling me how great I am. We should wear the criticism of others as a badge of honor if we are doing what is right and just.
Reply:I think we all let it get to us sometimes. Even yesterday I had to pull back because I found myself using the same hate base tactics.

I cope by spending quiet time in God presence. I let Him see what burns me, I let Him see my hurts, I let Him see my great love for this country and my hubby and children. Then I allow Him to burn out all that should not be in me or affecting me. He fills me up and then.....

I get back on that no name horse and ride, ride, ride!
