Why don't I feel cold when others do?

Why do I seem to not feel cold when others claim it is 'freezing'? I weight 125, and I am 5 foot 5 inches (I'm skin and bones, ok?) I usually wear a t-shirt and jeans, and I really don't have enough body hair to keep me THAT warm.

Then again, I see people who appear to weigh less than me, and can bear with t-shirt and shorts when its raining.

Is it physcological, or just something else?

Why don't I feel cold when others do?
It's probably both psychological and physical. Your body may just be more efficient at processing food and getting energy in the form of heat from your food...maybe good circulation has something to do with it as well. Your tolerance may also be higher, other people may whinge more about the cold, when if you felt what they feel you would be able to cope ok. Everyone is different, some people seem more hot-blooded for no reason. You should be pleased you're warm more often!
Reply:i get this as well. im like boilin with a tshirt on and my m8s av got like coats on. weird huh :l
Reply:temperature perception varies from person to person
Reply:No idea...i'm skinny and i feel cold much more than others
Reply:since you're so skinny you have extra body heat that keeps you warm.
Reply:I am the same. I never feel the cold, and cannot understand people who sleep in a heated bedroom with electric blankets, and hot water bottles, and the like. I look after a small cottage in Cornwall, and am amazed when people make a huge fire, have the heating turned up full pelt, and phone me to say the place is cold.I turn up with more heaters, and the place is like a sauna. I call them lizards.

I think in my case, we didn't have much heating in our house as a child, and I just grew up hardenned to the cold.I just cannot stand being bundled up, and very rarely wear a coat.
